Profil d\u2019avortement cheval<\/h3>\n<\/div>

Notre profil d\u2019avortement comprend les PCR suivantes: EHV1, EHV4, EAV (EVA) et Leptospira spp.<\/p>\n<\/div>

EHV1 et EHV4<\/h3>\n

EHV1 est la cause virale la plus courante d\u2019avortement chez la jument. De plus, EHV4 \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 isol\u00e9 en cas d\u2019avortement. Le virus se transmet de cheval\u00a0\u00e0<\/b>\u00a0cheval par contact direct par le flux nasal, les s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions vaginales, le placenta ou le f\u0153tus avort\u00e9.<\/p>\n

L\u2019avortement est observ\u00e9 apr\u00e8s 7 mois de gestation (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement) sans que la jument ne pr\u00e9sente les sympt\u00f4mes de la maladie. Le placenta peut \u00eatre oed\u00e9mateux ou non. Le f\u0153tus pr\u00e9sente souvent un \u0153d\u00e8me sous-cutan\u00e9, une jaunisse, une augmentation de la quantit\u00e9 de liquide thoracique et une hypertrophie du foie avec des l\u00e9sions mineures blanc-jaune.<\/p>\n

Le diagnostic peut \u00eatre pos\u00e9 sur la base de la PCR, de l\u2019isolement du virus et des anticorps sur les organes f\u0153taux.<\/p>\n

EVA<\/h3>\n

Le virus de l\u2019art\u00e9rite \u00e9quine peut \u00e9galement provoquer un avortement. La jument pr\u00e9sente g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des sympt\u00f4mes cliniques (peu sp\u00e9cifiques) 6 \u00e0 29 jours apr\u00e8s l\u2019avortement. Le virus se propage par l\u2019air ou par la couverture (spermatozo\u00efdes infect\u00e9s). Le f\u0153tus ne pr\u00e9sente souvent aucune l\u00e9sion typique.<\/p>\n

Le diagnostic peut \u00eatre pos\u00e9 par PCR ou par isolement du virus sur le placenta ou les organes f\u0153taux. De plus, les s\u00e9rums appari\u00e9s peuvent \u00e9galement \u00eatre pr\u00e9lev\u00e9s chez la jument.<\/p>\n

Leptospira<\/h3>\n

La plupart des placentites bact\u00e9riennes sont caus\u00e9es par une infection ascendante telle que Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus. L\u2019avortement est souvent observ\u00e9 en fin de grossesse. Un poulain mort-n\u00e9 ou une naissance pr\u00e9coce sont \u00e9galement possibles.<\/p>\n

Chez Leptospira, une bact\u00e9rie \u00e0 gram n\u00e9gatif, l\u2019infection ne se produit pas suite \u00e0 l\u2019accouplement. L\u2019infection survient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement par une petite plaie, par les muqueuses,<\/b>\u00a0ou par l\u2019urine contamin\u00e9e de rongeurs. L\u2019avortement est souvent observ\u00e9 entre 6 et 9 mois de grossesse. Le placenta est \u00e9paissi, lourd, \u0153d\u00e9mateux et h\u00e9morragique. Le f\u0153tus est ict\u00e9rique avec une hypertrophie du foie.<\/p>\n

Le diagnostic peut \u00eatre pos\u00e9 sur la base de la PCR sur le tissu foetal ( entre autre le foie et les reins) et le placenta.<\/p>\n

Equi Focus Point<\/h2>\n

Comme les ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes l’EFP soutient le protocole d’avortement dont l’EHV1 et 4, EVA, Leptospira et aussi Streptococcus equi subsp. zoo\u00ebpidemicus et Coxiella burnettii est mis en \u00e9vidence par PCR.\u00a0Dans ce cadre, le propri\u00e9taire paie un prix fixe de 50 euros (tout compris).<\/p>\n<\/div>
