CPV (parvo) PCR – Pcr infectieuses

The PCR detects CPV2 as well as the common field strain variants CPV2a, 2b and 2c. After vaccination, the vaccine strain can be secreted up to three weeks. During this period the differentiation between field and vaccine strain is particularly relevant for correct diagnose and treatment. We offer a PCR which allows the discrimination between the routinely used vaccine strain CPV-2 and the field strains.

Unfortunately this differentiation is not possible if a vaccine, containing CPV 2b as vaccine strains, was used.
